Our Beginning

Madison House was born from a deep desire to give back—specifically to families with children who are working hard to heal after trauma, abuse, crisis, and mental health challenges.

Our founder, Stacy Madison, has spent over a decade working with survivors of abuse. While every story is unique, one truth consistently emerged: the profound healing power of home.

A beautiful, safe, and intentional space offers more than comfort—it offers reprieve. It reflects dignity. It empowers survivors by honoring their individuality, their beauty, and their story. It creates space for sacred bonding between parent and child.

From this understanding, Hilary’s Closet was created. When you hire Madison House, 100% of our profits are donated to Hilary’s Closet, helping provide sanctuaries of a healing home for abuse survivors and their children.

The Heart of Hilary’s Closet

Hilary didn’t have a kitchen table to savor meals with her son. She was embarrassed to have her family over. When she looked at her home, she felt ashamed and disempowered. After years of brutally struggling, a mattress on the floor and a $5 plant were all she could manage. She came home to broken windows, rotten carpets, no AC, and felt like it was all she deserved. Her son's room: she took her last dollar and bought him an adorable garage-sale bed, saved up for toy bins, and showered him with love, but felt like she deserved nothing. Her trauma and mental health struggles overcame her. Sadly, she didn’t live long enough to see life transformed. In her honor, we do our best to ensure the survivors behind her experience hope, relief & a beautiful space to call their own.

Imagine, after long days filled with struggle, grief, fear, and resilience, the simple act of coming home to a peaceful, usable, and beautiful space can be transformative.

Imagine opening the door and feeling the weight of the world lift—if only for a moment.

Seeing peace instead of chaos.

Beauty instead of reminders of hardship.

Perhaps it’s a framed black-and-white photograph of their children that sparks joy in a weary parent’s heart. A kitchen table where meals are shared, and conversation flows. A cozy reading nook where a parent and child snuggle together, wrapped in story, warmth, and safety. Living plants, clean air, soft textures, and quiet moments of connection.

These spaces do more than shelter—they heal.

They create room for rest, renewal, and reconnection.

They become sacred ground where bonds are strengthened, and hope is restored.

Our Mission

Madison House partners with generous individuals, organizations, and churches to gift survivors and their children something truly meaningful: a healing home.

This work goes beyond providing furniture. We thoughtfully design spaces that feel personal, empowering, and restorative—customized to reflect each family’s unique style, needs, and story. A home that feels peaceful, beautiful, and wholly theirs.

Why We Design

We design because we love it—and because we believe in it.

We believe in family, connection, love, and joy. These are the true building blocks of a home. Home is where beauty lives. Where dreams begin. Where memories are made.

Life is shaped by the moments we share with the people we love. Your home should honor those moments—offering comfort, connection, and renewal for the heart.
